In 1996 Eyefix began buying old print archives and original vintage print designs from all over Europe, forming a unique and eclectic collection of designs dating from the 1800s to the 1970s. Most of the designs are in original artwork form. We continue to curate archival and antique designs, keeping the collection unique and on trend.
The collection was originally sourced as inspiration for clients for our printed textiles side of the business and was previously exclusive to them. It has since exceeded 100,000 prints, and in March 2006 Sarah Robson joined Eyefix, starting the Eyefix Archive as an original vintage print studio. We now sell prints with their copyright to homeware and fashion designers worldwide who seek beautiful and individual inspiration for their collections.
‘A unique studio where clients are breathtaken by the designs and can visualize their whole collection, as presentations are made among the Eyefix silks and garments – an Aladdin’s cave of ideas!’ (Sarah Robson).
The studio is a charming and creative space with a homely feel, located in London between Tate Modern and Borough Market. Clients can spend as long as they wish looking through the inspiring archive books and drawers categorized by style, era and trend. We also create inspirational trend boards each season to inspire our clients when showing our collections, and these boards can be seen if you wish to use our bespoke online print service.
